Lending a Helping Hand
Two years ago I had to oportunity to go to the mountains in the Dominican Republic and lend a hand to some very underprivileged people. The experience was incredible. I left the dominican feeling overwhelmed by everything that we have as Canadians and take for granted. I also discovered while I was there that we seem to lack a sense of community in this country. The people of the Dominican Republic are extremely community oriented. The share many things on a daily basis, including communal kitchens. They help each other out regularly and they are not too prowd to accept help when they are in need. They love Canadian Nurses and the welcomed us into their lives and their homes with a great deal of generousity. If you ever have a chance to go to a third world country and do some volunteer work take it. You will have a lot of fun then return home with a new outlook on life and what you really need to be truely happy.

Jersey Boys with Girls

Recently, I went with a group of female friends in a limo to Toronto to see the Jersey Boys. We had a fantastic time. The show was spectacular and we can't wait to go again. If you ever need an idea for a really good time gather a group of your close friends, rent a limo and have fun. Good food, good friends, good times!
